How to get Smooth Summer Skin

IMG_7405

Hi everyone and happy Friday! Today I thought I would share my secrets for smooth Summer skin. I need a lot of moisture as you know, for my eczema prone skin, there is probably nothing worse that letting my skin get dry at all. I combat dryness with high moisture products that have little to no fragrance just to be on the safe side. Starting from the left, I love 100% Jojoba oil applied directly or mixed in with lotion to give my skin ultimate protection and hydration, I picked this one up at my Trader Joe’s but I also like this brand and you can order it online. This shea butter body lotion from L’occitaine is my BFF right now, it has no scent and spreads easy, which is a plus because it sinks in deep quick (also available at Fragracenet.com for less). Okay, I will now address the nonconventional item pictured above…. you know all those spray can moisturizers that had come out to apply lotion in a jiffy? Well, Im in a hurry a lot of the time too, but testing those out is a bit risky for me sooooo I brainstormed. I have been using food grade coconut oil on my skin straight out of the glass jar but waiting for it to melt and sticking a spatula or whatever in there to fish some out was time consuming and messy! So I’ve been loving still being able to use coconut oils on my skin on the go, and at under $3 a bottle I can buy multiples (I get mine at Traders, but Kelapo sells them by the 6 pack online)

On to the life saver of the bunch, the Silk’n at home laser hair remover machine. Being hairless is a must in the Summer, there’s swimming at the pool, lounging on the beach and barbecues on hot days always imply shorts. My skin hates being shaved often though, it actually hurts me, so it’s not worth it, but I want to be as hair free as the next girl. I’ve tried a bunch of different hair removal techniques but I have to say the word permanent gets me every time! I tried the NONO system a while back and it just didn’t work for me, it was too time consuming and if you don’t have the steadiest hand you will cut yourself! Yikes!

Being skeptical by this point, I had a hard time giving this little machine a shot, I thought it wouldn’t work, but I am sooooo glad I gave it a go! It has changed everything about my routine. I do a treatment every 2 weeks and am allowed to shave in between (unlike with waxing) so I am always hairless. It can be used all over and unlike salon treatments it is very affordable. Buy this little gem HERE or HERE, at under $200, I highly recommend it!

XOXO
