I have another really great dupe, this time it is for the Smashbox Layer Lash Primer, it runs $18. What this does is enhance your eyelashes before you apply your mascara. It is great for adding volume if you use a lengthening mascara. I loved this product but when I ran out I thought twice about spending the $18 to replace it, that’s when I found the dupe and I had to share!
This friends, is the Elf studio mascara primer it costs $3 and works the same way. A Primer is a great tool to have on hand in case you have to use up a less than stelar mascara. How many times have you purchased a mascara based on a recommendation, only to have it not work for your lashes? Do you have a “graveyard” of unused mascaras? I know many receive mascara samples in their monthly beauty subscriptions, and not all of them will be winners. That’s were this primer comes in, It can build up and lengthen BEFORE you add mascara and I have to say I was very impressed by the lower cost option.
