Aveda Shampure Line + New Texture Tonic Review

Hi everyone,  I hope you’re all doing great! A while back I posted a photo on Instagram (follow along HERE) about my new favorite shampoo and conditioner by a Aveda. I wanted to elaborate on why this duo has become my go to! I first learned about the shampure line through the dry shampoo and dry shampoo refill. The sent as you know is intoxicating and very wearable so I was hooked!  Then, I learned there was more items to the line including the matching shampoo and conditioner. I love that the shampoo and conditioners are extremely gentle using protein from the Peruvian rain forest  to cleanse, condition and fortify and of course the aroma with 25 pure flower and plant essences including certified organic lavender, petitgrain and ylang ylang. My hair has been going through a lot lately…. in fact I lost most of it due to a serious bout of chronic anemia and what was left was a dry thin mess! After having to cut most of it off  and getting on the correct plan to regrow it, I really wanted to take better care of what I have left. Can you blame me?  As I’m always happy to add to my collection I loved trying out the composition oil with the same yummy scent that I’m in love with. I love body oil’s that aren’t greasy and that absorb really well because of how dry my skin is, and this one did the trick!  Also pictured is the pure-fume mist which I cannot find online but you may be able to find your individual Aveda salons or stores… this is a great little spritz, I love adding this calming aroma before bed or on my clothing before I walk out the door towards  a stressful day!  I just noticed they have a beautiful candle online so now I have my eye on that!

On to a fun new product from Aveda!

I’m loving this texture tonic spray, I use this to create beachy waves or enhance the texture in my hair as sometimes I need grit and light hold because my hair has been falling flat really easily. I can use it wet or dry so which is helpful for quick touchups as well! The scent is of course top notch Aveda quality including yummy organic ginger and clary sage. What makes this tonic  different than others you may ask? Well, it not only uses magnesium sulfate a.k.a. salt to help contract and compress the hair for piecey textures but it also uses cane sugar to help give your locks soft texture and shine,  most tonics I have tried give my hair a very crunchy appearance which I do not appreciate lol and because it is  it is mostly naturally derived and it works great on all hair types straight or curly.

So there you have it, a little rundown of what I’ve been doing to save my hair after my medical crisis. I hope you enjoyed reading and let me know if you have any questions on these products. I was inclined to do a brand spot light on Aveda but I realized every product is amazing and there’s so much to chat about I would rather just highlight them individually as I try them, what do you think?  Let me know if there any other Aveda products that you would like me to review for you or you need more information on 🙂

Have a great day loves!
